About GF&G

Why Gluten Free and Glittery? Diagnosed with Celiac Disease back in 2012, I relied heavily on online blogs and reviews to determine brands and restaurants to try. I felt completely overwhelmed by what I could and could not eat–causing me to avoid social functions revolving around food. Thankfully, the support I received from other Celiac individuals and my family and friends made the transition so much easier. Once I settled into my life as a (now) graduate student with Celiac Disease, I wanted to give back and start reviews of my own: originally in an effort to keep track of all the restaurants I did and did not like and to share my experiences with others. GF&G has become a resource for individuals with Celiac, gluten intolerance, food allergies, and those on the gluten free diet—I could not be happier! 🙂

Traveling is my favorite pastime and I hope you will benefit from my experiences in the United States and Abroad. Gluten Free and Glittery is updated multiple times per week to bring you reviews of restaurants and products around the world! Please check the “Travels since diagnosis” tab under “About” to see all of the cities/countries that will be featured. Using the side bar, you can search for blog posts by city by using the drop down menu.  I will be keeping a running list of restaurants with gluten free offerings–so please check back often! 🙂

Please feel free to e-mail me at glutenfreeandglittery@gmail.com.

I will be covering restaurants, amusement parks, airports, bakeries, product reviews, travel tips, and resorts.  Enjoy!

    1. Hi! Thanks for the comment! I currently attend graduate school in Charlottesville, VA, but I am often in NYC visiting my boyfriend (when he is not in LA for school) and family who live nearby, and I will be in the city for a longer visit for Thanksgiving and Christmas time next. I would LOVE to meet up if you will be there in December! 🙂 Also, I have several more blog posts coming for NYC…
