Gluten free at Asian Box (Los Angeles)

Happy Holidays everyone!! ❤ Today I am excited to share with you one of my favorite fast casual places to eat in Los Angeles: Asian Box. Asian Box has locations throughout California including several in San Francisco and SoCal.  I have visited the Santa Monica location over 10 times since moving to LA in July and have never had a bad experience.

Asian Box is a 100% gluten free restaurant!! Meaning everything on the food menu is GLUTEN FREE. It is a celiac paradise to not have to worry about cross contact with gluten. I can order whatever safely I want and that makes me so happy.

At Asian Box, you go up to the counter and place your order. The menu is relatively small, but there’s something for everyone. Most meals come in a rectangular “box” with a base of rice and some cause/toppings. You can also build your own. My personal favorite is the Ox Box, which is “Double beef, jasmine rice, sauce tossed veggies, all toppers, caramel egg, Asian Street Dust, Miss Jones’ Sriracha.” I often substitute the Miss Jones’ Sriracha for the vinaigrette to lessen the spice a bit. The meal is super filling and loaded up with toppings.  My husband usually orders the Chicken Curry, which is “Potatos, Carrots, Jasmine Rice, Coconut Curry Sauce, all toppings (no jalepenos), side of Sriracha.” We often order the fresh tofu spring rolls, which are delicious, but sadly they run out pretty quickly!!

I love Asian Box. It’s fast, it’s delicious, it’s great quality, and most importantly it is a dedicated gluten free kitchen! There are even signs when you enter informing customers to not bring in outside food. That’s a win! The meals are a bit on the pricier side for fast casual, but to me, the ability to eat whatever and not have to worry about being glutened far makes up for it.

**Please note that this review solely reflects my own honest opinion. I was neither paid nor compensated for my visit here. Also, kitchen protocols and menus can change at any time. Make sure to speak to the staff at any restaurant before eating to make sure that they can accommodate your dietary restriction.**
