Product Review: Cheryl’s Gluten Free Cookies

Growing up, I loved when my Great Aunt Carm baked her famous iced sugar cookies. Only one company came even remotely close to my Aunt Carm’s sugar cookies and that was Cheryl’s cookies. Unfortunately, they did not carry gluten free originally….But very recently, they created a gluten free line of desserts!! The moment that they started carrying gluten free cookies and treats I swear I jumped up and down. But first, of course, I had to contact the company to make sure that their treats were indeed gluten free and safe for celiacs. Here’s what I found:

Cheryl’s ( takes gluten free very seriously. Their gluten free products are processed in a entirely gluten free facility to prevent cross contamination. Cheryl’s goal is to make these treats safe for those with gluten intolerances, allergies, and celiac disease, which I really appreciate.

Gluten free goodness!

So what does Cheryl’s offer for us gluten free-ers? Gluten free sugar cookies, gluten free brownies, gluten free snickerdoodles, chocolate chip cookies, and brownie walnut cookies. My parents ordered me the gluten free buttercreme iced sugar cookies and they were perfection! Very sweet and soft. Although it has been years since I had their gluten equivalents, I’m not sure I could have tasted the difference! Best part? You can freeze them and eat them whenever. They freeze very well and just take a few minutes to defrost.

Sadly, for people with nut and egg allergies in addition to celiac disease, there are no options for you yet. But keep checking back and contact the company. Cheryl’s is fantastic with customer service and taking suggestions. I hope they will make cookies for everyone soon!

My rating: 10/10

Would I buy them again? Yes, they are a bit on the pricier side since you must order them to be delivered (no store!), but there are TONS of promotions and discounts. Plus the cookies are fantastic!!! My favorite gluten free cookies I have ever eaten.

Have you tried Cheryl’s gluten free dessert line? What was your favorite?

    1. Oh no! You should definitely call them. I wonder if something is wrong with their system. I’m glad you enjoyed them though!! They freeze super well so I buy a bunch at once and freeze them so I have them whenever 🙂 happy New Year!!
